The children have loved our new topic, 'Space!' It has been a great hit and I have really seen the kids imagination come to life as they all have new and fun ways to express what they think about space. Everyone joins in with different activities as well as come up with their own which inspires some great creativeness. Junk modeling has been very popular and is providing good physical development needs such as cutting and stacking pieces together using tape. This really makes the kids think critically about what their rocket ship might look like. The construction corner has turned into a space station and allows the kids to build spaceships using various blocks. Everyone has come together and is learning to work together as they help build a rocket ship and blast off to the moon together. Great team work! There have been some alien stomping dances going on as well as play dough aliens in underpants.
Finding our own creative ways to express and learn about Space!
