Friday 1st December

Another busy week as we start to bring our lesson topics to an end!

We learnt how to review a play in Inquiry!

We have made Learner Profile hats. 

Every morning we decide what Learner Profile we are going to be and we try our best to show the qualities of that learner profile either at home or at school.

We developed our characters we made and gave them personalities and opinions and then as a pair we had to use our imaginations and make a story up based on these characteristics.

Maths was a lot of fun reviewing shapes, sizes, patterns, estimation and most importantly strengthening our team work!

Y1 Weekly Update: Monday 27th November - Friday 1st December

English	We have used spoken language to explore ideas in a role play and empathise with characters.	We will use practise speaking and singing clearly.
Maths	We completed our maths assessment.	We will focus on adding on small numbers.
PYP Inquiry	We continued to develop our imagination and art skills.  We have spent time practising the songs for the KS1 Production.	We will rehearse on stage with the year twos for the KS1 Production.

Getting creative with our characters for our play!

Every one in PY, students, maids, TAs, Teachers and Management designed a hand to show how amazing we are and to represent our stand against bullying! You can see all the hands outside the PY science room!

Maths is getting a bit tricky now!

Happy days, our characters are finished! Now for rehearsals to start :)

English	We made props for our show.  We are focusing on being creative.	We will use spoken language to explore ideas in a role play and empathise with characters.
Maths	We looked at counting by 2s.	We will be completing our maths assessments.
PYP Inquiry	We used our imagination and art skills to be creative.	We will continue to develop our imagination and our art skills.  We will be rehearsing for the KS1 Production!
