We had a lot of fun with Y1C drawing our brilliant self portraits!

We have had a creative week!

In English we listened carefully to instructions and made a lollypop superhero :)

In Maths we have been learning about shapes and symmetry (please see the board outside the classroom) and we have been making patterns with buttons.

In Inquiry we started to learn about Venn Diagrams!

Y1 Weekly Update: Monday 2nd October - Friday 6th October

 

	This Week	Next week
English	We began our Instructions topic and made yummy jam sandwiches!	It is Book Week!  We will be reading and working on some of our favourite books.
Maths	We considered symmetry and learnt about Venn Diagrams.	We will writing numbers in digits and words, comparing and ordering numbers and working out one more and one less.
PYP Inquiry	We have started to think about our individual posters.	We will make a poster about one of our friends.
Notices	Thank you for returning your child’s trip letter and money! Book Week is next week and your child is invited to dress up as a character from a book on Friday. Mr Renie’s weekly newsletter is posted on  http://ascoteypynews.blogspot.com/ Our music blog is posted on  http://ascotbkkmusic.blogspot.com   Please remember all children are to have a water bottle and hat at school every day. Please make sure your child has their swimming stuff in a separate bag that they can take to the pool instead of carrying things separately as it means many things get dropped and potentially lost.
