Friday 1st June

We had lots of fun in Mindfulness this week as we observed the differences in our minds and bodies as we did activities very fast and very slow. Then we wrote our name normally, quickly. slowly, with the other hand & finally with our eyes shut. It was lots of fun but also a great way to tune into how our minds and bodies react to different situations.

We have been learning about multiplication this week and doing a great job!

We have started our new Inquiry unit about Communities and have been talking about what a community is, what different jobs there are and why these jobs are important.

We also read our poems out loud to the class this week and we learnt how to give positive feedback by saying something we liked about the poem and also constructive criticism as we learnt how to say one thing that could be done better for next time.

PYP Inquiry	We started our new unit looking at communities.	We will interview some people at ASCOT to see what their job is in the ASCOT community.

Friday 25th May

We had a great start to the week and some very beautiful discussions about the different emotions we feel, how we feel them, what our face and body look like when we feel them and what we can look for in others so we can understand better how they are feeling. The children had some fun with play dough to show how faces look when and drew some very thoughtful pictures to show how they feel.

 Following on from Science Week, we have been doing some more experiments with water and sand to learn about capacity which was a lot of fun. 

We also started to look at < less than and > more than to compare two different containers filled with liquid.
