What a busy week, we have bought our Unit of Inquiry to a close by going on a material hunt in the car park and making a graph showing our findings.

We put our thinking caps on and wrote some STEM questions for the Leaner Profile Board.

We have had fun making dog faces to celebrate the Year of the Dog.

Y1 Weekly Update: Monday 12th February  - Friday 16th February

 

	This Week	Next week
English	We completed our writing assessments on Adventure Stories.	We will be starting the topic on Recounts.  The children will start by writing about their Half Term.  Please provide your child with five photos of things they do over the holiday.
Maths	We found halves and quarters of 2D shapes.	We will be focusing on time.
PYP Inquiry	We completed a litter walk of our school and made graphs from the litter we found.	The class will begin the next topic ‘Where We Are in Place and Time’, focusing on ‘Exploring and knowing our local environment can help us understand the world’. Please also take photos of places near to your home and let your children bring those in.
