RE Review / preview Week 6

This Week 
Next Week
Phonics/
writing
This week, we practiced writing, reading and played games and fun activities around the letter sound s,m, c, t, a, p.  We sang phonic songs, played games and practiced writing the letters ‘c’ and ‘p’.
Next week, We will be reviewing the sounds a,m,s,t,p,c and we will be introduced to the sound ‘o’ and ‘g’.  We will be looking at the letter sounds through books, letter formation activities and phonic activities. Depending on the ability of each student we will start identifying/counting sounds in words and begin blending.
Math
We kept on reviewing numbers from 0-20, by singing songs, playing counting games and number recognition games. 
We will continue looking at number recognition, counting from 0-20 and begin making pattern.
PSD
We read a book about being kind and helpful and had discussions about how we can be kind to others and how to help others.
Next week is book week, we will be reading ‘The Rainbow fish’. We will talk about the importance of sharing and caring for one an other.
Science
This week we talked about how certain places makes us feel a certain way. Then we played and created our own places/worlds.
Next week, we will be playing with bubbles and making fun paper prints.
Art
In Art this week we made emotion masks with paint, yarn and pictures. And for our final art project on feelings and emotions we made our feeling scribble.
Next week, we will make our own rainbow fish and other fun under the sea creations.
Physical
We kept on practicing cutting, writing and tracing throughout the day by making and creating objects with various materials.
Next week, we will keep working on pencil control and fine motor skills through various activities. We will keep on cutting, tracing, writing and having activities using play dough.

Places that makes us feel... happy? sad? scared? excited?


This week talked about how certain places can makes us feel
We made and played around different worlds and places and talked about what places makes us feel excited? happy? sad? scared? etc.

The Chance Jar!

This week we starting our chance Jar. Every time you do a good action or follow the classroom rules nicely you get a chance jar. At the beginning of each day during circle time Miss Emilie picks a chance ticket and 1 student gets a prize.



On Tuesday Ton-Aor got to play with the Walkie talkies during play time and chose a friend to share it with.
