Phonics/
writing
|
This week, we reviewed our letter sounds from
term 1. We played various games by matching words to their correct pictures.
|
Next week, we will start unit 3 and learned
the letter sounds ‘e’ and ‘n’. We will blend and review the words from unit 1
and 2.
|
|
Math
|
This week, we learned the word ’estimate’.
We estimated various amount of objects and tried to match the correct amount
to its number.
|
Next week, we will learn about one more/ one
less. If we add a number how much would it be? or if we take an number how
much less would it be?
|
|
PSD
|
This week we talked about how to invite
friends to play with us. We had a role play in front of our classmates and
demonstrated how to ask a friend to play with us by tapping him/her on the
shoulder gently.
|
During this lesson we will learn about space
awareness and how to use our feet properly. Feet are for walking and not for
kicking.
|
|
Science
|
This week we talked about our holidays and
drew pictures to describe them. On Friday we went on an exploratory walk and
searched for bugs and plants.
|
Next week, we will review our five senses
and learned the four different types of food, dairy, meats, vegetables and
fruits. Then for our second lesson we will learn about healthy and unhealthy
food.

Art
|
This week we painted fireworks and discussed
the different events and places we may go see them. For our second lesson we learned about
circles. We learned how to trace and draw them and made an Art piece by
tracing and cutting various sizes of circles.
|
Next week, we will make a caterpillar
inspired by the book ‘The Hungry Caterpillar’. For our second Art lesson we
will make a fruit salad and we will play the game ‘guess what fruit it is? How
does it taste’.

Physical
|
This week for physical we sorted different
types of pasta to work on our fine motor skills.
|
Next week, we will play various games all
related to our theme on food.
|
