This week we are learning about Air Transportation. We learned about helicopters today and made various helicopters working together with our partners choosing our materials carefully and listening to our partner's ideas.

Sink and Float...

Today to conclude our week topic on 'Water Transportation' we made a science experiment testing out various objects research rather they would float or sink.

RE Weekly Update:  March 20th to March 24th, 2017

	This Week	Next Week
Phonics/ writing	This week, we focused on the long sound ‘ss’ and tried to find words that ends in ‘ss’. We continued to review our letter sounds and played blending games.	Next week, we will be focusing on the long sound ‘ff’ and blend some new words reviewing the sound ‘ss’. We will also be playing around with words and camera words to make sentences. And last we will begin guided reading.
Math	This week, we learned about additions through various games.	Next week, we will review 2D shapes and learned about 3D shapes.
PSD	This week, we learned about mindfulness.	Next week, we will be learning about ‘patience’.
Science	This week, we learned about water transportation. We will also learned about how boats float and why certain objects float or sink.	Next week, we will be learning about air transport and make a science experiment using apple cider, baking soda and watercolor to introduce our next topic about ‘space’.
Art	This week, we made a submarine and we learned different techniques to create texture for an Art piece on sailing boats.	Next week we will be making helicopters and rocket shapes.
Physical	This week, we tore up paper to prepare the sea background for our sailing boat art project.	Next week we will play around with slime as a sensory/writing activity.
Notices and Events	Books returned: please bring the book borrowed from the EY library before Tuesday and put the returned book in RE’s returned book basket’. Thank you. Field Trip: Please sign and fill up the slip for our field trip to the Funarium March 27th. We will accept the slip until Monday March 20th. After this date we won’t be able to accept the slip. Thank you. Ascot Family Fun fair: March 25th, please come and enjoy our first Ascot Family Fun Fair next Saturday! We are going on a submarine!!!!

This week for our topic on 'Water Transportation' we learned about submarine during our first Art lesson. We learned a new technique called 'scribble Art'. You scribble with a marker on a piece of paper and paint in between each lines carefully. It takes a long time so we all did it together with our classmates so with everyone help it looked really beautiful and we all finished it on time! Take a look at our beautiful submarine!
