Friday 9th March

We have been getting ready for our field trip and learning about shapes, size, spatial awareness as we mapped out the classroom and directions by doing some fun worksheets and then directing our friends around the school.

We have also started our Monday Mindfulness lessons and here are some picture showing how we feel when we have quiet time.

English	We started our half term storyboards and wrote our sentences using adjectives and sequential language.	We will complete our holiday storyboards and our Big Write based on our field trip.
Maths	We began adding and subtracting 1-digit numbers from 2-digit numbers	We will locate 2-digit numbers on a 100-square and begin to recognize 2-digit numbers as some 10s and 1s
PYP Inquiry	We learnt about different transport and places near or far from us, and we focused on maps and direction. We started looking at natural and manmade features.	We will sort natural and manmade features in our environments and we will continue with maps. We will look at road signs. Fieldtrip

This week has been a short week but we still have got a lot done!

We went to the Art Room to finish our pictures on Wednesday which was great fun :)

We have been working hard in swimming lessons and are so much more confident in the water.

PYP Inquiry	We started our new topic, ‘Where We Are in Place and Time’, and focused on our local environment	We will focus on places near and far from us, and we will look at maps and direction.
