I love phonics!

The children have really been enjoying our phonics lessons. They have all been great listeners and really listen to what sound the letter makes. We have been practicing fun ways to enjoy writing and mark making. As a class we have come up with little chants we say together as we write our letters for example the letter 't...' We go down flick and then in the middle and across the end! Take a look at the phonics fun the kids have been having as we chose to take our lesson outside for some chalk writing.

This week we have been learning about trains and where our train might take us. Take a look at this song we have been learning and have your child talk about what they can spy with their little eye.

International Day!

Welcome back I hope everyone had an amazing holiday break. The kids have been talking a little bit about where they went and what they did with their family. 

Here are some pictures from International Day. The kids had such as great time joining in to see what other activities and countries the other classes were doing. My holiday!

Last week we continued our topic, 'Japan and India.' We all talked about different places that we have been with our family or places we would like to go to. All the kids loved talking about the beach, whether that was Pattaya or Hua hin. We looked at pictures of different holiday spots and talked about what we saw and did with our family. Some have even been talking about what their plans were for their next vacation. Together we came up with the idea to paint the beach. What do we see at the beach? What color is the water, trees and sand? The kids did great at color recognition and painting their very own beach scene. Take a look at some of the pictures!
