Our class experiment for Science Week looked at the question 'Can flowers change colour?'.
This linked into our Inquiry unit looking at plants and the children were able to use their knowledge from the past few weeks to guide them in their science experiment.

Friday 18th May
We have had a great week this week and been able to discuss and role play how to play nicely with others. It was lovely to see how much the children have grown and how aware they are of each other and their feelings. They are becoming very compassionate and empathetic.
In Mindfulness we did our workbooks and we also spent some time doing Mindful looking and actually looked at our friends to see what new things we could notice about them
This also helped us when we were working in groups coming up with rhyming words for poetry!
Congratulations to those who got a Green Card certificate today!

Friday 11th May
We have had a fun week this week in Maths. We have started to learn about weight and have been experimenting with the scales to find out how many cubes, teddy bears or blocks different things weigh in the classroom.
We have finished our unit in English on persuasion to an end and we came up with a persuasive sentence to sell an orange highlighter. You can see the learning journey we went on on the board outside the classroom.
In Inquiry we have been learning about plants and how they grow and now we are going to start a small case study on the mangrove forests near Bangkok to learn more about the environment they grow in, the problems they face and what our responsibility towards the forests are. We have been busy making our front covers for our project.
