RE Weekly Update:  June 5th to June 9th, 2017

	This Week	Next Week
Phonics/ writing	This week, we reviewed all the camera words learned this year and we learned new ones. You can review them with your child if you wish. (school-when-one-out-what)	Next week, we will review our camera words, letter sounds and blending through fun activities. And we will continue our guided reading sessions.
Math	This week, we were  introduced to problem solving activities.	Next week, we be reviewing the characteristics of 2D and 3D shapes.
PSD	This week, we learned about anger management. What to do when we feel angry or frustrated.	Next week, we will be learning about the value of good friendships. What is it? And why it is important to have good friends.
Science	This week, we learned about the forest and jungle animals.	Next week, we will be learning about Arctic animals.
Art	This week,  we learned and made forest animals and jungle animals.	Next week, we will be making an Art project on polo bears and we will continue our drawing lessons and learn how to draw arctic animals.
Physical	This week, we danced to ‘the forest dance’.	Next week, we will be playing with ice and shaving cream and recreate the environment of the Arctic through a fun sensory activity.
Notices and Events	Books returned: please bring the book borrowed from the EY library before Tuesday and put the returned book in RE’s returned book basket’. Thank you. Year 1 visit: Friday June 9th : Please arrive at 7:35 on that day. We will be joining the primary students for flag in the morning and later in the morning we will be going to year 1 and have a small activity with Ms Lilly (RE’s year 1 teacher).
