We have been learning about fables this week and we worked together to go through a reading comprehension and we were able to read and understand the instructions and completed the quiz!

In our mindfulness lesson on Monday we talked about sending people or animals or plants kind thoughts, happiness, hugs and love. The children drew some beautiful pictures.

We spent time today talking about positive play and in groups came up with our own examples of what makes good play and what makes bad play. We had fun acting it out.

Our Maths challenge this week was inspired by STEM and we had to make a tower with our books.

English	We began Fables.	We will look at the different elements that make a fable and start to write one.
Maths	We explored and investigated number patterns on a 100- square; We will identify 10’s and 1’s in 2 digit numbers.	We will be practicing mental addition and number bonds.
PYP Inquiry	We looked at maps and map keys and begin to make maps of the classroom and school	We will start to look at the school environment, its natural and man made environment and how it can be improved.

Every Friday is swimming so all children must have their swimming kit with them. If they cannot swim due to illness the teacher must be informed by email.
