Who wants Ice cream!

Last week we started a new topic, 'Under the sea.' We decided to set up a new role play area as well to get us in the mood to be at the beach. We setup an Ice cream shop. The kids are loving the ice cream shop and enjoy serving as well as ordering ice cream for themselves and others. It has been a great communicating area and the kids have really started to speak more by asking questions such as, "What do you want?" How much?" It has been really fun watching everyone take part in this area. They have also been very creative in the art area and continue to build up their imagination with junk modeling. Team superheroes!

Last week we enjoyed bringing a little teamwork and completion to our classroom. The children have really been into building castles, cities and towns since the end of term 2. We decided to have a superhero team building day. The kids each split into groups of 5 and together they had to use all of the blocks given to see which team could make the biggest and most interesting city! Everyone did a great job. Take a look at the amazing team work and creativity brought into this activity.

This week we have started a new topic, 'Commotion in the ocean." We have setup a new role play area, 'ice cream parlor' and 'fun at the beach.'
