WEEKLY UPDATE


RE Weekly Update: February 6th  to February 10th, 2017
This Week 
Next Week
Phonics/
writing
This week, we kept on blending words from our third unit and we learned the letters ‘Yy’ and ‘Zz’. 
Next week, we will review our camera words and be introduced to 6 new camera words.
Math
This week, we learned about positional language (left, right, next to, behind, under, on top etc.)
Next week, we will repeat, create and describe patterns using shapes, pasta and various objects.
PSD
This week, we learned about people from the Netherlands.
During this lesson we will talk about tidy up and learn that it is important to tidy up before we go and play somewhere else.  
Science
This week, we learned about ‘The Netherlands’. We looked at the cities and landscapes. We talked about the people that live there, how they look like, what language they speak, what food they eat, what they like to do there.
Next week, we will learn about ‘Spain’. We will talk about people that live in Spain. What language and food they eat and what Spanish people like to do.
Art
This week, we made windmills and paint with apples to make beautiful tulips.
Next week, we will learn about ‘Flamenco’ and paint our own classical guitar. Then for our second Art lesson we will learn that ‘bulls’ are part of the Spanish culture and make bulls using toilet paper rolls and paint.
Physical
This week, we learned that Dutch people ride bicycles so we had a bicycle race!
Next week, we will be reminded how to use glue sticks and markers properly and how to use scissors safely.
