WEEKLY UPDATE


RE Weekly Update: February 13th  to February 17rd, 2017
This Week 
Next Week
Phonics/
writing
This week, we reviewed our camera words and learned 6 new camera words.
Next week, we will be introduced to the letter sound ‘Vv’ and ‘Ww’ and we will review all the sounds learned this half term.
Math
This week, we repeated, created and described patterns using shapes, pasta and various objects.
Next week, we will be introduced to Numicorn. We will play various games using Numicorn all week.
PSD
This week, we talked about tidy up and learned that it is important to tidy up before we go and play somewhere else.  
During this lesson we will talk about ‘respect’. What is being respectful with others and how to we treat people with respect.
Science
This week, we learned about ‘Spain’. We talked about people that live in Spain. What language and food they eat and what Spanish people like to do.
Next week, we will be introduced to the country of ‘France’. We will learn about the landscapes, cities, food, people and French language.
Art
This week, we learned about ‘Flamenco’ and painted our own classical guitar. Then for our second Art lesson we  learned that ‘bulls’ are part of the Spanish culture so we made bulls using toilet paper rolls and paint.
Next week, we will make an Eiffel tower and paint a typical French hat called a ‘beret’. We will also learn French songs and French greetings.
Physical
This week, we reviewed how to use glue sticks and markers properly and how to use scissors safely.
Next week, we will learn a French dance called ‘Sur le pond d’Avignon’ to work on large and small movements control as well as spatial awareness.
